About HSVM

Hang Seng Investment Management Limited (HSVM) was incorporated in Hong Kong with limited liability in April 1993. HSVM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank Limited (the "Bank") and is the investment arm of the Bank

HSVM provides investment management services to the Bank and the Bank’s customers and has extensive experience in managing funds (including a series of retail funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs)), investment portfolios for institutional and private clients.

As of 16 Sep 2024, HSVM manages a total of 47 ETFs and retail funds out of which 30 are index or index related products. Among the products managed by HSVM, 13 of them are ETFs, including Tracker Fund of Hong Kong.

Our History

Milestones

HSVM officially took up its new role as manager of Tracker Fund of Hong Kong (‘TraHK’) and has introduced RMB Counter for TraHK.

September 2022

HSVM is one of the first issuers of the Mainland-Hong Kong ETF cross-listing scheme, and our Hang Seng Harvest CSI300 Index ETF is one of the first listed ETFs in the scheme.

October 2020

HSVM is one of the first batch of investment managers in Mainland-Hong Kong Mutual Recognition of Funds (MRF) scheme, with our Hang Seng China Enterprise Index Fund being one of the first approved Northbound MRFs in the scheme.

December 2015

HSVM is the first local financial institution in Hong Kong to issue an RQFII ETF

November 2013

HSVM launched the world’s first RMB denominated gold ETF which is also the first RMB ETF in Hong Kong

February 2012

HSVM launched its first ESG fund

August 2011

HSVM launched its first RMB denominated retail fund in Hong Kong

October 2010

HSVM launched its first index-tracking ETF in Hong Kong

November 2003

HSVM launched its first index fund available to retail investors in Hong Kong
